lol we just had 7 or 8 cars on my block get broken into. I think they decided against mine cause of the alarm and the fact my van is all scratched to hell from the kids that they figured it wasnt worth it lol.

what a pain it is to have your vehichle broken into... I moved from a smaller city (45000 people) to a larger one (150000 people) and was used to not locking my vehichle at night..... well, someone broke into (well, opened the door) and stole my XM radio, a dashboard mount one, easy enoiugh to take and only worth like 30 bucks. the thing is they took the radio but left the Antena, which you need to use the thing....... *shrugs* I left the door unlocked again once and just had my vehichle rummaged through.....I guess none of my stuff was interesting enough to take.

There is definitely some value to having an older non popular vehicle.....likewise my car.....it has no interest to anyone except me to get from A to B and back.

I moved out of a small town of roughly 30,000 to a new area where the total population of the entire county is only 30,000........the town has about 3,500 in it........73% of the county is rual.......

I can't say how many times my car was unlocked all night and some times even my windows left down....

My neighbor even leaves the keys in his cars.......

With teenagers I have come home from work many times with no one home, but the door is open and the full glass storm unlocked!!

but, I also have 2 dogs........and sleep very well at night with the windows open......I live in a rancher style house..

sorry to hear about your bike.....did the store have any cameras up??

Generally our place is like that as well. Since I didn't notice it until the next day (as I was getting read to ride to work), I didn't even think to check with the store.

So you're saying there's a danger of someone sleeping on my motorcycle?

I slept on my green machine when I first got it... Damned parents took pictures, too.

It is kind of noticeable though. :)
