I'll take your AMD's and raise you a Prescott P4

Or as I like to call it, my heater coil. As soon as my car is fixed, and I get some cash to fix my stereo, the computer gets some attention. double the memory (to 1gb) and water cooling to overclock to 3.4 GHz. Maybe a semi-custom water cooling setup to cool the video card, too. So I can overclock that ro 1.2 GHz

I guess I'll need a new PSU while I'm at it.

"fudge" that, I don't have vista, I only need 2 gb. And I can only utilize DDR400 anyways. I'm just going to use it to play "poo poo" like WoW, RTCW:ET, and UT2k4. Believe me, if I had the money, I'm have a quad-core AMD, SLI'd vid cards, 1 TB HDD's, and 4GB of ram.

I run Vista Home Premium and have 3GB DDR 400 with a Opteron dual core which is 3 years old. Besides Vista runs well on 1GB and a bit better on 2GB (I haven't noticed any improvement upgrading 1 -2 GB on my MacBook when running Vista).

I want to get Midnight Club 3: LA which will be my fix for street racing since I can't do that here... (how come when I do it I don't get those cute girls?)

Dude, you don't want the type of girl that hangs around street races. They could be DEA agents or something. Also, don't street race! Street racing is for morons. Though then again, driving is more of a zen do it by myself thing for me more than anything else.

but then I don't have any games on it.

It's almost ready to upgrade to 1GB.

lol up above you said 1gb not 2

. Seriously I dont have vista and even in xp (I game) i wouldnt run less than 2gb in xp.

good idea. quick search of newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820145575 i remember i paid 120 for the "procreating" 512 mb pack of that stuff back in the day. crazy how cheap it is now.

Shoot I can get 4GB of DDR2 for $60 on Newegg but that would require me to buy a new motherboard and processor (AMD dual core for AM2 is as low as $60!). I even configured a system with all 3 parts and it came out to about $205 but my money has to go elsewhere for now.

And as for those street racing, I'm talking more like sponsored events like you would see in Import Tuner and those kind of girls. Shame I can't spare my car like that and my bike is a pathetic....

Almost kissed pavement today, traveling home on Highway 17 doing around 140 KPH when some dip in an Accura SUV flys by me in the outside lane, hammers his brakes to avoid rear ending a tractor trailer unit and then dives into my lane mere inches from my front wheel.............had to change my undies with I got home.............
