You know, having a motorcycle is kinda like having a child. You have to accommodate them.

I can just see riding the bike down stairs and at the bottom the front suspension bottoms out and you go flying over the handlebars. My friend parked his bike in the living room of our old college house (downstairs). I leave mine outside in Trenton and have never had a problem. Of course, it's usually hidden behind my truck from view in the street.

I know a couple guys that park in the living room who are NOT single.

If you dont want them on the street, and you are willing to pay for it, go get them into a storage unit. You would be amazed at how bold theives are, it takes two guys and a mini van and your bike is gone. You might even talk to some of your new neighbors and offer them a rent for parking them in a nearby garage if you think you are going to ride alot. Good luck

So, my girlfriend and I are moving to a new place. The only problem with the place is that there is no off street parking. The area is really nice... But I don't know what to do about our bikes. We are going to have to park them on the street. Does anyone else have to do this? What are some of my options to deter someone stealing them?

well, id park them inside the house/unit/flat.


if the bars/clip ons are to wide to fit through, widen the door

Id be fitting an alarm, disc locks to both wheels, chain to a bolt in the ground, with a cover over the top, oh and full comprehensive insurance.

The only exception to this is if ya ride a katana or any type of harley, im sure you could leave these out the front with the keys in for a month and know one would be stoopid enough to bother

There is two steps behind my apartment that I could put the bikes and they would be out of sight and off the street. Plus right next to my back door. So ramp ideas? Two steps is all I am dealing with. I could almost get it down without it... But like you guys said ground clearance. Plus getting back up wouldn't be all that fun.
