I must admit, I browse this forum for titles. This is actually the first joke I've read here in a very long time, and it's because "Noah" caught my eye. Just this Wednesday night I reviewed last weeks lesson about Noah, and the flood, with the children of our church. Tonight, TLC had two shows on regarding science/the flood. I feel a resposibility to keep up on what is being said about The Bible, which I truly believe to be God's inerrant word to us. I believe he wants us to read it and apply it to our individual lives using the talents he alone has given us. I believe Jesus died for me, and I freely accept him as my personal saviour from an eternity of hell.

As for the joke. I found it very funny, if pretty innacurate in the account details. I would only ask that you reread the account of the flood in Genesis for the real time-frames and re-post it accurately. It will still be funny, maybe funnier.

Of course, I read the joke expecting a slam on God, but I found the Almighty firmly in place as the compassionate good-guy, frustrated by the reality of what we have become. Now that WAS accurate, and the Bible says it over and over!

Possitive views. This is something that you always seem to have. This is the key to success in any faith. This is something which is a basic element to success in life. Thanks for sharing. I have to say that you and your son have been a possitive influance on motorcycling. You both add to the possitive image we need in cycling. I hope I am as well.

First I pointed out that you yourself were being judgemental and explained why I saw it that way. I guess I was judging you there. I guess it serves a lesson to us both there.

You charged other Christians at this site with not commenting on this joke which you seem sure would offend your God. You would fear telling him this joke at judgement.

I wanted to know what exactly was blasphemous in the joke. You explained yourself. I have heard much more narrow views than yours. Maybe we just need to relax.

what can i say - i like to stir the pot from time to time...get people talking..even if it is to slam me a bit...Lord knows I slam others from time to time.

It's all good, I have no hard feelings....however silly it may have seemed, I said what I wanted to say, and for the most part, the replies I received were well thought out and intelligent.

I've only been here for a little while but I like this forum already...seems to have some good folk on it....

You'll notice as time goes on that my sense of humour is dry and I keep it rather well hidden...if you don't know me, it sounds kinda harsh...and yes i see the humour in my "righteous stance" and my [wtf]'s....that's just an example of my well hidden humour...

PS - my def of "well hidden" is that it's not right in front of you -- others definitions may include, but is not limited to: not funny, insulting, blasphemous, and/or uncalled for.

you guys are silly. Thats ok I am too. I thought it was hilarious. Nothing to be taken TOO seriously. Whether the intent was anti or pro Christian, is hard to tell. But funny. Galations 6:7 says God can not be mocked.and a man reaps what he sows. - Just a poke from me to help anyone who might be trying to sowing a seed. If we claim Christ it is crucial that our words and actions are of his nature. If we are the same as the world then what difference is there? Not to say we don't slip on wet rocks In James 3:2 it says- We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able ot keep his whole body in check. - Ephesians 5:4 - Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. - I think this joke lines up with bible standards. I'm thankful it wasn't truely blaspheming God. But He can't be mocked so what do we do then? A PM or something outa love is fine. I think the majority of Guys and Gals on here are posotive influence on the scene. I'm glad you think so. God bless you all.
