Folks,

Centennial College in Scarborough, Ontario is once again hiring new Instructors for the Gearing Up program (M1 course). As the college is in the process of opening up a second training facility at the Progress Campus.

Individuals interested will require a clean drivers abstract who have held a FULL M license for a minimum of 3 years. Teaching or Training experience would be an asset. Successful applicants will be required to attend a 40 hour training course at a cost of approximately $335. Instructor training will be held at the Ashtonbee Campus. The college will be holding a information session at the college very soon. Date just needs to be finalized. I will post that info up soon. In the meantime you can contact the college at the number or e-mail below.

If interested please contact Joan Brooks at the College. Joan's number is 416-289-5000 ext 7105. Or e-mail jbrooks@centennialcollege.ca

As an instructor you're only required to teach 3 "contract" weekends per season. If desired you can possibly teach more. Note: a contract weekend is a weekend in which you're scheduled to teach.

Rate of pay for first year instructors will be $400.00 per weekend taught.

I'm guessing that only those licensed in Canada are eligible?

(I'm the one who edited the thread title).

Unless you know of a "Scarborough, Ontario" down in Utah then I think it's pretty obvious. It is a Canadian forum, after all.

Actually, the original thread title said "Centennial College," nothing about Canada. Centennial College could be a place of higher learning, or town anyplace, it sounded pretty generic to me. And I know I'm not the only person who occasionally forgets that this site is based in Canada.

Or forget that Ontario is not a state, or a city in a state! Surely you've seen "Jay Walking" on the Jay Leno show?
