Why do you love cruisers?

Btw, the question isn't meant to have a sarcastic tone or any crumb like that. I really want to know. I have no experience riding them, but I love the way they look and sound, and would like to know more about why people love them.

* And incidentally, I know there are some people out there who hate 'em. Opinions are like ---holes, but I'd like this thread to focus on the positives of cruisers, please (and the fact is, bashing them - or any genre of bike, really - is old, obvious, and a bit of a cliche).

I have only rode standards and 1 cruiser.
But here goes ...

The riding position is better on my back which has already undergone a fusion surgery & and my shoulder which has torn ligaments from 18 years ago.
I ride a cruiser with bags for travel. I don't get a tourer because it seems like it is so big why not just take a car. (I may change my mind later)

seating position mainly. when i'm on a sportbike i feel like a monkey copulating with a football. they're fun but not too comfortable. standards are better, but i like being able to stretch my legs out a little in front of me and still have my feet near the controls. i've had standards, sportbikes, and cruisers, and have just been way more comfortable on a cruiser on long trips. my only gripe about them is my particular cruiser handles like a "dog" in tight twisties, but that's what you get for having a huge bike i guess.

I think I like cruisers because when I think "motorcycle" that's the first thing that springs to mind. I love sport bikes, I'm having an absolute blast on my scooter, but in my head a cruiser defines the word motorcycle.

Plus, I feel all bad a$$ when I'm on one ;)
