Basically it does for Harleys what Power Commanders do for sportbikes plus some...
It adjusts your FI timing and duration, plus adjusts your ignition timing.
I had one friend down in Phoenix running one, he ended up taking it off because his gas consumption went way up and he didn't notice much of a difference.
But then again he didn't ride it hard so it could have been hard to feel a difference for him.

Power Commander makes units for Harley, too. I have one on my Road Glide (with a K&N air filter and stock mufflers)and it significantly reduces the amount of heat radiating from the motor as well as giving it a bit more "oomph". Fuel economy did drop a bit, but not by much.

Until today I never heard of one. After some research (actually wriders post) it seems that just the Thundermax brand is new to me. I am used to the Power Commander and Daytona brands.

wtf nobody runing this system? d---m i hope i didnt do the wrong thing bying this thing. i was reading the manul last night and playing around with the software on my laptop, got to say it looks very good.they give you a hole lot of base maps for all kinds of dif motors,cu in,intake, exhust, cams, etc. once you lode the map closet to you motor and run a few klm. you then hook up the laptop and you can make a "poo poo" load of changes to timing curves, afr, idle speed, cold start idle speed, etc. it also has a decel cut off so you dont get that poping exhaust when you back off. plus a hole bunch of stuff i cant rember right now. but the more i play with this the more i like the looks of it. wish some one else was running this so i could get so feed back. later.

I put one on my 07 Ultra after i built a 124ci motor. Worked alot with Tmax getting a base then just rode and played with it alot. After all was said and done it performed flawlessly. For me it was freedom from the dealer and their race tuner. The ability to actually change the air/fuel mix was the biggest reason for me to go that route.
