Yo...new (olderlike) biker here...need help from you young troopers. My neighbor gave me some high end crash bars...they don't fit my Vulcan 500 but he told me to have someone weld some brackets for them to the frame...does he know what he is talking about or should I pay 258.00 for the factory ready bars? I'd rather have the brackets welded but need advice from those of you that know...they are lovely things indeed. I reckon ya'll just prime over and spray paint the impacted area...huh?

Happy trails, gringo's.

What are they supposed to fit? Any bracket would be liable to be the weak spot in the assembly.

I'd sell or trade 'em for crash bars that fit.

Don't confuse a engine guard (protects only the engine) with a crash guard (protects your legs). Kawaski doesn't make a crash bar only a engine guard.

seat i would look into maybe using some brackets clamp type brackets or something, welding will work but it will cause a corrosion point done right should be fine. could make a spot for cracking, you dont want to blow through that tubing it's not as thick as you would think i've done alot of dirt bike tabs and brackets make sure its not any kind of chromoly steele' local welder should know
