I am not one for helmet law, but I do wear one any time I ride it is not real smart not to. But it sould be left up to the one that rides.

we're pretty liberal here and i think we'll be fine
did you hear about the ban on motorized vehicles Nationally, for riders under the age of 12?
looks like many of the smaller displacement bikes will be dissapearing- check check out the Metric Comp. websites and you'll notice the smaller bikes are gone

I think that it was a screw up. the law is about products containing too much lead being sold to the young age group. The engine components on these bikes are over the limit allowed for lead content, so they, for now, can't be sold. I don't think is was a intentional attack on kids bike and 4 wheelers. Just a case of the politicians not knowing what the hell they are doing. I think the motor companies will figure out a way around the whole mess. Either through different metel compounds for engine parts or through the "system".

Besides, my son has a pw 50, and I have yet to catch him sucking on the engine or battery. I think the kids are safe for now Mr. Politicians.

My insurance is based on the fact that I live in Il. never matter the fact that I never ride without a helmet.

Now I'm forced pay for those that want a personal choice. I'd rather not pay for someone else's personal choices. i.e. I don't pay more for insurance if you smoke, you pay more.
