Cell Phone.
I will take off for hours or even days, but my gadget of choice is cell phone. If I am going to have an extra bill, it will be cell phone. I don't want to have to pay an annual/monthly fee for a spot locator. However there is an advantage to them, for example if you are in a wreck.

And as said earlier, never ever give a time, if you have to, well double it.
however summer is approaching so maybe you will have to triple it.

Keep your phone on vibrate, then you can feel it and know he is worried or needs to get in touch with you. I keep mine in my pocket and can feel it.
Now if you have a Zumo, which we do and I have my full face helmet on, I can answer the phone and talk to him and visa versa (he answers his if he is out riding, when I call) and hands free, just a push of a button. Still just a phone bill, which I'm going to have no matter what.

P.S. Besides my hubby a few of my riding parnters are guys, He never questions that either. I'm blessed.
I too am not offended by the comments from the guys, It's all good and what you wanted to put out there.

I again wanted to thank all of you for your excellent advice, however I am compelled to say that as a woman I did not find what he said offensive. Of course I have been accused of not being as "politically correct" as I'm supposed to be.

The post I made was personal and not from a moderator's status.

Generally the moderators remove spam, advertising links, lock down threads that get flaming too much, remove offensive posts...ie.....racist comments.....things like that.

you obviously didnt grasp the true nature of my comments. That is also not sexist as by blonde it can mean either male or female. So you may want to get your facts straight and truly try to understand a comment before making a stupid assumption about a comment that was made because you feel "offended" by some meaning that isnt being made.

If he trusts you he wouldnt be trying to make you feel bad for going on a 2 hour ride. Being a man of a wife that rides I worry about her all the time. however I dont bug her about it. I figure as long as I dont have an officer on my door step or a phone call from the police that she is just fine. Hilarious!! I'm blond, and highly intelligent (Mensa eligible). It is a kick to say, "sorry, blond moment" when I have a lapse. I completely let your blonde comment roll off. If you'd used the smiley, you might have softened the dig, I suppose.

Frankly, I thought your comment was thoughtless and crass as well. Different people have learned to deal with sexism and harassment (real or percieved) in different ways. Some laugh it off, some have decided not to stay silent.

It was a dumb comment, and yes, we can let it pass. But stop defending it, and stop blaming Blues for calling you on it.

Blues, you've allowed yourself start taking offense for every one of us that are blonde. I am, myself. Blonde jokes amuse me. Same for my sister. She even had a shirt she loved. It read "You don't have to speak slowly, I'm a REAL blonde."

As I know that such things would offend you, I won't say them around you. But they don't offend everyone.

Bratcat, I removed my posts because I realized a bit too late that your thread was the wrong place to voice my opinion about the issue of putting down blondes just for being blonde.
