23, though I don't start learning to ride until the end of next month.
I was a huge import car fan beforehand, but could never afford my favourite(s), due to my poor college student status. Was on the bus to school one day when I saw a sport bike zoom by, which made me think "A motorcycle! Why not? Why didn't I think of that before?"
A friend took me for a ride on his new Goldwing in 1983 and in 1986 I slapped down a deposit on a Shadow but I chickened out. Here I am 22 years later and still have the itch. The difference is I haven't chickened out this time - got the bike - waiting on the course. It's been a long time coming and I can hardly wait.

The joy is in the journey
when i was 18 i rode on the back of my dads bike on one of those HUGE 9-11 rides down to the city, it was the most moving and amazing thing i had ever been apart of. for a while i thought it was one of the best days of my life until October 26th 07 when i passed my MSF course. now that was the best day ever, lol. so 21 was when i started officially riding
I started to get the itch when I was in High School at
the age of about 14. I remember dreaming about owning
a CBR and looking through the Cycle World Magazine time
after time. I got my license and first bike by the time I was
22. I'm 28 now and cannot imagine my life without riding.
I started riding in 1969, at 18 on my birthday I went to the local Honda dealer and got a 1966 Honda CB77 (305 super hawk) $300.00... Going home I was sure my mother was going to make me move out.. For years she said to NEVER come home with a motorcycle. Later I found out that my father rode but I never knew.
Most of my Adult life I have had at least 2 bikes to ride, and never been without one. NORE will I

In 1969 I rode a 305 Honda Scrambler..... never got it out of first gear ! Loved it. Been ridin' ever since; dirt bikes, owned 6, naked street bike, cruiser, sport bike (now).... profile, if you want more history... I fall into the 21-25 bracket..! Somebody Puleeeez tell me how to post my vote... age (67) and pure ignorance have defeated my very intention ! ! !
