hi i have a xs 400 heritage special 1980
i have a problem while running at around 6000 rpm i can pull the clutch in and the revs will not die off. they will drop off only when i slow down with the clutch engaged, it idles fine most of the time but there is some kind of miss fire on the off side and its an audible clicking hissing nose but its intermittant.
i have cleaned the carbs and replaced the inlet manifolds as they were perished an sucking in air, could it be electrical ? just had a new cdi !
