1991 Gold Wing Interstate's Value

Hi Guys,

I have a pristine 1991 Gold Wing Interstate Anniversary Edition, that I am the original owner, purchasing it new in 1991. It is going on 44,000 original miles.
Some added accessories are:
All three Honda rear spoilers.
Passenger floor boards.
Rider floor boards with heel / toe shifter.
Original and working well Honda AM/FM radio.
NEW " Ultimate " seat with riders back rest. Less than 200 miles on seat.
I also still have the original seat with Drag Specialties rider back rest, in excellent condition.
Passenger Arm Rests.
Always garaged and covered.
Thin line pin stripping by Steve Cox of Texas.
Upper trunk opening handle.
Color: Champagne / Tan
NO reverse !

Just turned 66 years old and have no need for this model of motorcycle. Have no plans of doing any touring. BUT !! That does not mean I am throwing in the towel and giving up motorcycling. I plan to purchase a new cruiser model in the near future.

We all know that the dealerships / stealerships do not want to give you a fair trade price, thus it looks like I will be selling this bike outright. Either through local sales advertisements or I might even post it on Ebay.

Thus the question is ........ What do you think a good retail value is for this bike ? :goldwing:

Seeing as it's an anniversary with (relatively) few miles on it plus those extras, I'd probably ask for about 3-4K depending...
Seems like a good bike though, why not just keep it for riding around even alone?

Book " Book Trade-In-Value is $3695.00
I was thinking that a " Retail " value should be around $5,000.00
I can easily get the $3,695.00 trade in value from a dealership. But for that kind of money, I feel like I am giving away a real good bike.

I could keep it for riding around alone. But I do want a bike that is lighter, lower and lately it seems like the heat really bothers me. Thus I want a more open bike, for the air flow. Seems like I do not want to ride the Wing during the summer, just because of the heat from the road, engine, and lack of ventilation with all of that fairing in front of me.

Besides, don't you think I am ready for a new toy ???

Ohhh ok I couldn't find the NADA value when I looked, the furthest back they went was 1995.
In that case I'd easily ask for 5K. If you want to get 5K ask for 5500. Make sure to point out the details and extras on it.

And as for a new toy, I guess so! I've just always thought Goldwings were good at everything, so I didn't think most eventually wanted to go smaller... haha

Well if you're looking for a smaller cruiser I'd vote for 750 to 1100 ccs. Just because it's no problem for it to run the Interstate all day but is easy to maneuver in town as well.

I have looked at most of everybody's Cruisers. Honda, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha, etc. But the one bike that I keep coming back to is the new for 2009 Yamaha V-Star 950. I'm very impressed with this 950.

But the one I am not impressed with are the Honda's. Don't get me wrong, I have always liked the Honda's. But presently not very impressed with any of their models. Especially when the local dealership tells me to look for Honda to come out with some new models in two or three years. Well !! I'm looking for a new bike NOW ! Not two or three years down the road.
