Had my first commute with the windscreen on the b-king. It is a vast improvement; however, I did notice more crosswinds - that might be a result of it being kinda windy this afternoon.

Got a link for those huge bar-end weights?

They dampen much of the high frequency vibrations present in most inline multi-cylinder bikes. Anything that vibrates will transmit its movement to the most flexible point furthest away from the source of the vibration. In motorcycles, this is usually the handlebar ends. By placing weights on the ends it will dampen most of the vibes by absorbing them. This means your hands and fingers will not get that "tingly" feeling after long rides.

For people with massive, slow revving v-twin engines, the old biker trick for reducing heavy low frequency vibrations at the handlebars is to insert a length of rope into them. There is also a product called "Bar Snake" that offers a very good synthetic alternative to natural rope.

I just a week ago put one on my 04 V Star that I recently purchased. Man what a difference. It’s just too punishing without it.

Thanks for the info Gummiente.
I know that tingly feeling. I think I'll look into getting some.

I put a 17 inch on my bike shortly after buyng it.

What a difference in arm and shoulder stress. My only regret is that I didn't get one with coverage out the end of the handle bars. My hands get frozen.

Also its easier to clean my windshield than my jacket from bugs that seem to find me no matter what season it is.

I just ordered a Spitfire for my bike. I'll see how it goes.

RhadamYgg, Flipper: I bought my bar end weights at Twisted Throttle. They have a "what fits my bike" section so you can see if there are any weights available for your bike.

On my '04 599 they were one hex bolt per side to unscrew. The new weights came with a longer hex bolt you reinstall. Easy peasy.

The wind is just too punishing for me.
I also love my topcase.
What other comfort items am I missing?
