Honda Rebel bags

#1 Unread post by mtsteelhorse »

I have an '05 Honda Rebel I just purchased. I'm a newbie, (took the MSF course a couple of years ago and haven't ridden much). I LOVE my new bike. I have no desire to ride fast but do envy you experienced bikers. I'm a late bloomer! Anyhow, I want to ride my bike to work and the gym so need some bags. Is there something you could recommend that will fit a small bike like my Rebel? Most of them are huge and I'm having some trouble locating a petite pair of saddle bags. I am thrilled to have a bike!!! :D
Thanks for your feedback.

RE: Saddlebags for 250cc

Hi!

Saddlebags are on my list of add-ons too. I'm in year two of riding. Last year for commuting I got a tank bag and have a backpack.

One tip about using a backpack [from the MSF instructor] is to make sure the zippers are secure. I use mini carabiners to clip the two zippers together and that prevents them from working their way open. I also make sure the shoulder straps are not dangling much beyond my seat. Cut them off or tie them up.

Let me know how your search goes. I ride a Virago 250. 8)
