I took the ERC two months after the BRC. Ironically, I was sure I had passed the BRC but flunked (for going too slow) and was convinced I'd flunked the ERC but passed.storysunfolding wrote:The standards are higher in the BRC. Anyway- the ERC is a great way to get paired to your motorcycle under the eyes of trained instructors. I highly recommend taking the BRC, riding for a month or two then taking the ERC. Once you have miles under your belt consider taking an advanced course like Lee Parks Total Control.
Sportbikes be on the lookout for the new Advanced RiderCourse—SportBike Techniques (ARC-ST) course instead of the ERC. It's the military sportbike course but for the public and is starting to be offered this year.
