Moshi Moshi!

#1 Unread post by Captain_Toyota »

Hey all, just thought I would introduce myself.
Ive ridden snowmobiles, ATVs and personal watercraft for the past 8 years. Ive always thought it would be cool to have a bike, but untill recently I havent really gotten serious about it. I figured that I should start checking out some bike forums so that I can learn as much as I can before I get a bike of my own.
Im currently in the process of selling my snowmobile and once I sell that I will probably looking into getting a bike.
Ive always been very pleased with my Yamahas, so Im leaning towards a Yamaha bike. For insurance cost reasons, Im leaning toward a Yamaha V-Star. Ive read some reviews of the V-Stars and they seem to be pretty good bikes. Just with Yamaha's snowmobiles, they talk about Yamaha's great build quality.
Im hoping that I can learn a lot from all of you so that when the time comes to get a bike of my own I will be ready.

G'day and Welcome.

I've been fully pleased with my Yamaha, for the past couple years. If you haven't found it yet, there's a standing thread in the New Biker Forum giving a bunch of standing suggestions for buying a first bike. It's got good info to have in mind when making a selection.
Here's a link straight to it: viewtopic.php?t=100

Hello and Welcome to the Forum .
Yes , the V-Stars are rather nice bikes .
And Yamaha does make a quality product .
Kind regards, Wizzard

Welcome to TMW Captain.

My '95 Virago has over 120,000 kms on it, (close to 75,00 miles) and it's running great, Yamaha has a great line of reliable bikes...
