#1 Unread post by jgypsy »

i just got this bike and the clutch is so hard to pull in.i was wondering if there is a adjustment to fix this problem.my hands are small.another issuse is the fact its a liittle to tall.im 5'3.im wondering what could be done without lowering the bike.and if i have to lower it,will be make for a rougher ride.i guess i really dont care it its alittle rougher if i can put my feet firmly on the ground at a stop.thanks in advance for any helpim trying to get ready to ride it while im riding a 250 pagsta.

Did you buy an XL1200L or a Custom? They can lower it with lowering shocks but the 1200L comes prelowered.

I'd call your HD dealer. Maybe they can adjust the clutch a bit. Eventually though your hand will build up strength and you won't notice it anymore.

Is it brand new? If so,it should loosen up with time and as you break it in. Or you could take it to the nearest shop.

As far as it being too tall...those are the kinds of things you should check out before you buy. Though, there are ways to lower, just talk to your local dealer is my advice.

In that case I would just take it to your local bike shop/dealer. Usually though with time you'll get used to it and it will feel easier to pull in...but if it is really that tight just take it to the shop.

Good luck and have fun!

You can definately have the dealer adjust your clutch a bit...
