I think I have a case of them...... maybe its the fact that theres nothing falling off this one or something but I havent had an urge to hop on the bike and go for a spin yet this year.... WTF...... Im actually thinking of trading it in for a quad...... I think theres something wrong with me.

Mayeb I need another early 80s bike in a cardboard box to "dog" about.

i know the feeling, Pete. i own 3 cages and two of them can easily be recognized as mine because i'm usually underneath them.

there's a little more satisfaction when you know you can only ride/drive it because YOU brought it back to life.

I usually find that when that happens its because of something other than the bike itself. For guys it usually tends to be work, we seem to take work to seriously at times. My best advice... get on the bike and ride. You will probably feel better about a lot of things afterward.

Solution to your problem........ go buy one of those cheap Chinese knock-off dual sports, something around the 250cc size.

You'll have plenty to do when you first get the bike, going over every nut and bolt , replacing some with better hardware, etc. Then, you can take it out on the road and trails and have a blast, and then fix a few more things when you get home. It will make you feel whole and complete
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

Mtnman and Paul, Good advice! =) Gave me my first grin 'o the mornin'. My scoot knows the feel of duct tape and bailin' wire well.

Your kids are probably taking up too much of your time.....you need a sidecar so you can take them with you. :)

I had a bit of that a couple of months into this riding season. I gave myself a couple of new bike maintenance tasks to tackle. Also picking a new route to and from work helped.

Along with old Triumphs, I rebuild Austin Healeys. Sort of same song, different tune. I can't leave my rides alone so there always seems just one more tweak that I could do.

However, riding is like running a marathon, it always gives me a rush when I'm back in the saddle. Then I can't understand why I ever stopped for even the shortest amount of time.

Moving again? That's a lot of work. Enjoy the ride.
