First you need to upload the picture to a web hosting site like tinypic.com or Photobucket. When you upload the picture the site will give you a url that looks like http://i25.tinypic.com/23jk45i.jpg . Next you surround the url with the image tags so it looks like After you hit submit the picture will show up.

People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

You were missing the"[" bracket at the beginning of the link, so I added it for you. Now we have to teach you how to resize your photos so they don't take up the whole screen.
By the way, after a 30 year absence from bikes I'm hoping you are going to enrol in a motorcycle safety course, yes?

It isn't WHAT you ride,
It's THAT you ride

Six I've found a program called Xnview works well for resizing pictures. Plus it's free. Google it up.

Must indeed!
Must indeed be a "boomer thing." But I've been away for almost 40 years; started again two years ago by buying the very same bike. Surprisingly powerful bike. I've since moved up to an 800cc Suzuki Volusia. A bit of a transition but a much more roomy bike, with a low center of gravity. Surprisingly responsive and easier to maneuver than the smaller Vulcan. I wish I had gotten back into it years ago!

Pretty much says it all for us "retreads". Plus you wonder why you gave it up in the first place right?Dunolde wrote:Must indeed be a "boomer thing." But I've been away for almost 40 years; I wish I had gotten back into it years ago!
Always ask why.

Jonhj; thanks for the resize tip.
Dunolde:
Interesting you picked the same bike. I had more than one reason for picking the Vulcan 500; power seemed managable (my last bike was a 250 honda dirt bike, before that a 175 yamaha - the dirt bike was stolen the RCMP only found the frame
) the other reason was length... I have a very steep driveway felt backing a bike down the drive wasn't the best plan and so I feel I must be able to turn the bike around in my 9'wide garage. I wasn't sure I could turn a bigger bike around. Turns out my buddy can turn his Suziki 800 intruder in the garage so I can afford to go bigger in that department. I sat on the Honda Shadow 750 felt like a monster... also a Suziki 1400 S80... liked it but felt it was way too much. Right now I'm thinking I keep this one a while, not even thinking about moving up yet as I bought this one new. * My daughter has her eye on it already so maybe it'll become her bike and then I can move up?...

Like the term "Retreads"... and you're right I do wonder why I ever gave it up. Mortage, Marriage, Children, Job... the list goes on. I must say however, it's really great getting back!
