Back from fishings with my baby Brother, and yup as expected, the Salmon sat in the middle of the river laughing at us all day. Actually we timed it wrong, went when the tide was outflowing instead of inflowing. Of course the tide turned just as we had to pack it in for the day in order for him to get home in time for his "Fathers Day" cupcakes the brats had made.
Next Saturday, gonna try again and on the 28th, its the Vancouver Fire Fighters Burn Fund Ride. God I love summer time.

Yes, it did feel good. The smile at the end was worth the hard work.ofblong wrote:and I have a feeling that was the best part for you for the weekendblues2cruise wrote:I was working with the motorcycle school. I know I would be excited that I could teach a complete stranger who has never touched a bike to being able to pass the skills test by the end of the training

Went to the Dojo with hubby tonight. Wound up being the guinea pig for aiki and ended up with a couple of massive bruises.
Rough old man. :-/
Came home and ran a couple of miles - trying to get into better shape.

what'd you rent?
EDIT: oh, and today i worked. nothing spectacular, just went to work. the spectacular part was completely unrelated: my hip didn't hurt today. well, it didn't bother me near as much as it usually does and nowhere near as much as it did yesterday. yesterday it hurt to walk, sit, or stand. today i was able to sit without having to adjust almost all morning while i muddled my way through the drudgery that passes for research these days.
just wish they'd put a new hip in me and be done with it. stupid osteonecrosis.

Woke up, worked out some more, went to work. Made a massive mistake by forgetting to bring food with me to work (I have to eat every 3-4 hours), and by the time my shift ended, had a horrible migraine. Had to suck it up and eat a small bit of fast food before I could drive home -- was getting to the point where vision was impaired. Ugh... really hate it when I do that.
Now I'm here in front of the laptop stuffing my face with grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, and... pickles?
