I got 400 miles on a new bike. A technique the training class suggested I use for a right turn is this. Stop about a bike length from the intersection. Stop in the left half of your lane. Try to get an angle on the turn and reduce the 90 degree angle. I live in an area where the traffic is very light so I can choose when I pull out. The class I went to said to go into a routine of feathering the clutch, more throttle than usual, and moderate the speed with the back brake. All this sound good but is difficult to do even when the traffic is light. I have been slow to release the clutch and I think this lets me go slower and allows me to turn without much of a lean.
Did I spell angle right?
2008 BMW R1200R and is it sweet...
