Yeah, I couldn't pass up an opportunity like that.

Now all I have to do is keep my eyes open for a lime green ZX and a kid with matching $1000 Shoei wearing shorts and untied runners with no socks and carrying a bigass ticket. I bet he wants to talk to me.....

He might, but you've got the 1000 and the skills to smoke him.

I want to share a story of my own here now that the "Buzz" has died down a bit from the original. Warning it is a longer story, but I feel very vindicated :D

Without explaining my intersection to you basically it's 2 lanes that enter a circle which is 3 lanes. If you are staying in the left lane you get in the left lane, if you are going to turn right (not as popular, out of town, etc.) you stay in the right lane.

So what often happens is I get in the left lane and even if there isn't an army of cars behind me some douche gets in the right lane because s/he just HAS to be in front of me.

I was driving my accord (stick) and I see the person pull up, I know the timing of the lights so I beat them to the circle and manage to stay in my lane.

At that point you can be in the right lane (bars, parking lots, etc.) or get in the left lane (not as popular etc.) so this douche, with his girl in passenger gets in the left lane.

So now they think they are badass and start revving their engine, but they don't know how to do it properly (put it in neutral) so they keep skipping into the intersection. All the while pointing and laughing at me. So I egg them on a bit and when the light goes green I hit it and beat them to the next light which is also 2 lanes and this time it merges into one lane.

So at this point I'm done playing games because it's 1 lane infront + parked cars and I don't want anyone slamming into a parked car or ramming me off the road to avoid said parked car. At that point I see the police in my rear view mirror. I look at them and they are laughing and pointing still.

So I start laughing at them and putting my thumb up in the air saying "Yeah!! GO FOR IT!" so they start revving and skipping forward. So I'm laughing even harder now.

The light turns green, I turn right to get away from the action and they go straight, sure enough the police lights go on. I stop at the dunkin doughnuts down by the corner and enjoy the show :)

In retrospect part of me wanted to walk up there and be like, that is a damn shame you guys getting that ticket and all. But just in case the cop saw me I figured I should just play it safe and enjoy the parade :)

They are still acting like Jackasses revving the engine skipping towards the light laughing and pointing at me

Well Paul, if you ever get the chance to line up somebody in the crosshairs of Mr. Plod, do it. It is disturbingly enjoyable. Too bad it didn't happen more often.

I was tempted to stop and really have some fun at racer-boy's expense as well Brackstone. But I figured the same as you, the less personal interaction I have with the cops, the happier I is.

We marshal big cycle events and bike runs, with our Jelly tot bibs we look like our local Metro anyway. We have lots of fun with the traffic.

One of the funny stories we have was on a memorial run. We had a mini bus taxi driver, who got stopped on a highway on ramp by one of our marshals. He decided as there was only one he would push past. Big mistake, the next thing he had 6 marshals who had spotted this, all tugging doors to drag him out of the taxi. By this time he has scrambled in the back trying to make himself as small as possible and squeeze under a seat.

We just all broke down laughing. This twit was going to try and push his taxi into a train of over 500 bikes. We reckon we saved his life.
