New bike upcoming for me...

Well, I rented the Night Rod Special two weekends ago and loved it. Lo and behold, a hot deal: 2008 Night Rod Special with 671 miles on it pops up for $12,800. I jumped at it and offered $12,000. Seller received two other offers at his asking price and fell through with financing. Bottom line, their loss is my gain. Price is well below book value with only 671 miles and waaay below what other crazies are selling their higher milage older bikes at. So this weekend, I'm going to go take a look at this thing and if it looks good and has a clear and clean title, I'll be one Night Rod Special heavier to start my stable. Pictures to follow shortly thereafter!

Wish me luck!

The seller is most likely in over his head in paymenets.

Nope, he owns the title outright. For whatever reason (perhaps divorce), he is selling his house and three bikes. He was willing to part with it for $12000, which is 110% fine with me.. I can't wait

Paperwork is all finalized. I'll either pick it up or walk away from the deal on Saturday. I'll post better pictures of it on Saturday (if its mine).

This week cannot end soon enough.

That room in the pic...... where the Night Rod is ...... that's not actually his garage, is it? <<gulp>>
You mean there's garage floors that actually look that clean?

I think it is...his story checks out...his name, his address is up for sale, the bike (according to the VIN he gave) isn't reported stolen, his business links up on the internet to the phone number I've been talking to him at.

I have a picture of him from online so if it doens't look like him on Saturday, I'm driving away.

Edit: I want to keep the XL (don't tell my girlfriend) but it sure would be nice to have an extra 4-5K to pay down some bills.
