Motocycle Helmets...

I had my MRI today and it came out clean. I guess I really am a "bear of very little brain."

However...

My Shoei MX helmet did what it was supposed to do and died trying. Yes, I'm going to buy another. My partner ordered it today and I'll get it back long before I'll be able to use it. I guess I can call it "teddy" and sleep with at night. In all seriousness, it will be the first sign that I will ride again. Little things mean so much.

As for the arguement over standards, it's all moot. It comes down that I had a helmet on and I can think complex thoughts. End of report. Wear your gear!

One major point though. Be more considerate of your condition when you've had a wreck. I had a job to do and felt that I couldn't take care of myself first. I exacerbated some injuries and had to face the wrath of the doctors who worked on me today. One last thing is take care of how you pull your helmet off after a wreck. No additional problems but I could of caused some.

I have a passle of other injuries but like last night, I don't need to mention them. Let just say I'm goiing to be here for a few more days. The only thing I have to say is I've got a new respect for "real" armor. While I don't have "massive" internal injuries, I do have a knee that was hyper-extended and tried to bend iin the wrong way. I'll walk with a limp for a while. But d*mn it feels good to be alive!

I hope your new employer doesn't give you a lot of shyt about this. The timing kind of sucks (not that you chose the timing, obviously....)

Well, now that you mention it...

I had tp give 30 days notice and since I had a lot of leave time accumilated, I had to take it or lose it. So except for the mobile knee brace which I can hide under scrubs, I'll be fit for work by the time that becomes a problem. They'll never have to know. They were sh*ts so I can be one too.

However, I had made accommodations to go to the women's convention and I won't be able to go unless my partner can drive us up there and she isn't sure she can get the time off. Life still manages to circumvent everything you plan out so perfectly... :(

You fly out to Denver and I'll pick you up myself!

But glad you'll be ok for your new job. That's a blessing like no other, especially with the contract crap they tried to make you sign!

You don't know what your offer means to me but I'm going to have to pass. Between PT and the doctors afraid that I'll tear something, I'm sort of confined to base.

Thank you so much.... :thankyousign:
