I first attended the West Virginia BRC in 2004 or 2005 (I forget which)
Then bought 2 Kawasaki 125 streetbikes, one for me and one for my wife.
They were great for just around our county development, Out on the highway to get to town, not so great.
Sold those bikes, then bought a Ninja 250. Yeah it had more power and looked cool, which is what I wanted, but after a couple of spins on I decided that I couldn't stand the riding position because I had to lean forward on it, and my feet barely touched the ground. I thought that I could get used to it, but no.
So the Ninja is currently in my garage and up for sale.
Two weeks ago, I retook the BRC in Ohio (WV is $100 and OH is $25), rose a Honda Rebel and fell in love with it.
Last night I bought a 05 Honda Rebel, completely outfitted and needs nothing mechanically done for $1950.
I can flat foot this bike, I don't have to have the RPM's up to get going, I'm relaxed on it and best of all it fits me perfectly.
Here's the bike that I bought:
