Yamaha Virago 750

#133 Unread post by Thistleback »

My newest ride is a Yamaha Virago 750. Had a 250, and my husband felt sorry for me after about two months, and gave me his 750.

Nothin' yet! He's looking for a Honda Aero or Sabre 1100. He test rode a V-star 1100 and an Aero 1100 and really didn't like the V-Star. Hope he finds something soon! We're burning daylight!

There's one in town for sale but it's a little more than we want to pay. We got such a good deal on the Virago 750 though that it would balance out.

Thanks! I do love my bike. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm getting excellent mileage out of it this year. . .averaging 90mpg and that's including more highway miles, i.e. 65mph.

Just today one of the Foremen at work was surprised to learn that I ride. He said 'what a way to go green' to which I responded, 'Yup, the only green I'm interested in, is the green that stays in my wallet.'

Ride Safely!

I have only had my license for 3 weeks now and got my first bike 2 weeks ago. Here she is. I love the way she looks with her custom paint. It is a 2001 Buell blast 500. I think she will be with me for a long time.
Good luck to all the new riders and be safe.
