Woot!! My blood pressure is down! I"ll admit that I've been slacking, but I've removed 6 pounds as well.

My "normal" bp has always been around 90/60 or 80/50. The last couple years it has been 120/90. Still within "normal" for other people, but not for me.

Today, it was 107/82. Yippee!

Hello!

I enjoyed reading this thread and finding other ladies sharing the same struggle. I'm 55 and was feeling very unfit - and exercise only made things worse - my joints couldn't take it, and I just didn't seem to build any muscle. And I was always tired. Then I started on bio-identical hormone replacement and WOW what a difference! Now I'm building strength and have energy to spare. Sometimes diet and exercise just isn't enough!

I also read "Younger next year" after my Dr. recommended it. But until I got the hormones under control (and corrected an iron-overload problem by bloodletting) I got nowhere. So ladies, if you work your butt off and aren't satisfied with the results, keep pushing for another cause. If you are honestly doing the work, and it just isn't cutting it, keep asking. I'm glad I did!

Now I'm happily riding my newly acquired Virago 750 with confidence!

And now, July 26... (drum roll, please) my weight is down to 153!!

I noticed that the utility company mowed the power line right of way, so I walked that last week. Its so much more "fun" than the monotony of the treadmill. I prefer being outside if possible.

I've been hitting the gym for cardio at least every other day. They've got one of those "Check your blood pressure/body fat" machines. I sat down at that last night. After the workout, my BP was 115/67 and body fat was 23.7 I'm making progress.

The key to it all was making the commitment at the beginning to working out every day. It gave me the jump start I needed. Now, most of my pants can be slid off without unbuttoning them, and shorts that fit me "sausage tight" last summer, are loose.

I got a nice surprise this morning at the doctor's...

I've lost 32 pounds since March :jumpy: :pbjt: :jumpy: :pbjt: :jumpy:

I stopped keeping track at 25 pounds lost in May. I still have a very long way to go, but that was awesome news!

Fantastic!!! Keep up the fight!

I haven't lost anything in months...but I'm steadily lifting more and more weights so at least a little of it is muscle gain. I just gotta lay off the beer and queso dip!
