You probably won't unless you're on a sport bike using the limits of braking regularly.
Met a guy from Alberta today passing through. He was loaded down on his KLR, turns out he's headed to Tierra Del Fuego, as in the southern tip of South America. I admire the guy, but I wish he had forseen the weight of his bags, his stock suspension is basically bottomed out without him on it!
Plus he's burning oil at highway speeds. Something tells me he won't make it all the way there and back without a rebuild of the motor and possibly suspension.

Sheesh. That's a crazy ride even without the mentioned issues. Did you say anything to him about it?Wrider wrote:You probably won't unless you're on a sport bike using the limits of braking regularly.

Mentioned it, but "the guys on the forum said I don't need to upgrade my suspension". Wished him luck and gave him my email for when he starts a blog...
