Sheesh. Doesn't the wind blow you off your bike? I guess there isn't anything for the wind to blow against.

I have the opposite problem. My belly makes my head look tiny.

What type of helmet is it? Full face or 1/2 or 3/4. I look like a jackass with a 3/4 helmet on, but with a full face or halfie i think i look quite sexy. 8)

I am a relatively small guy with a relatively large head. I'm slim, am 5' 10" and weigh 135lbs. Whenever I have my Large helmet on, it looks sort of disproportionate.

It used to bother me, but I've gotten used to is. Has anyone else gone through this? What did you do to deal with it?

I had the same problem until i bought a Joe rocket Metoer Jacket. Its padded and makes my shoulders look atleast 2 if not more inches wider. Therefore my full face helmet size evens out with the jacket. 8)

Thread Jack!

What do you think of the joe rocket meteor, I'm thinking about picking one up for longer trips.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I have a large Shoei RF1000 that's very comfortable and snug but the wind moves it when I turn my head. I tried a medium at the MSF course and the dealership but thought it was too tight. I wore a medium all day at the MSF course and it gave me a headache.

I tried a large HJC but it was uncomfortable. I bought a medium Bieffe to use as a spare helmet for passengers and it's very snug but not too bad. I'd like to try an Arai Signet or other Arai LO design to see if it fits better. Or can I get thicker pads to make the Shoei fit a little more snugly?

One popular helmet application favored by Harleyists is to coat one's head with a heavy layer of hairspray, then a baseball cap worn backward, with one of those nice, trim-looking batting helmet thingies over all that. They tell me they are impervious to impacts, too.

My helmet is HUGE. It really is larger than most others, I think because of the unnecessary vents and side covers for the face shield.

Throw in that I'm a 6' 140lb stick boy and you have your spaceball character. There is like 2 or 3" of difference on each side between my shoulder span and the helmet span.

If it wasn't for the padded jacket I'd probably end up wearing a halfie.

Oh and how I've learned to deal with it:
Same way I deal with everything I'm insecure about. Pretend I don't give a damn and enjoy the ride!
