ya dont see that sorta thing down here, only time you see pictures like that are the ones they (the media) dig up on serial killers, murders and those who torture domestic pets, these types of people always have pics of themselves with weapons and stuff hanging and draped all over them

Its a very confronting picture I must say, but then I come from a culture of beach dwelling, beer drinking and we love everyone attitudes ...so there for we have no need for guns.

Its a terrible shame that you lot must live your one and only life in constant fear of your next door neighbor, or the people down the street or the unknown guys around the corner etc etc etc

LOL! You know, the mad max movies came from down under - with a dub over Mel Gibson's then thick Australian accent!

You don't have to carry a weapon in NYC, I was kidding!!!!

I did know a fellow from South Carolina that felt it was necessary to try and carry a weapon going in to NYC.

Fortunately, we were able to convince him it wasn't necessary.

There's an abandoned Triumph Speed Triple here and no one's come claim it in weeks.

Sucks about your bike but don't give up on riding because of it. A $1500 motorcycle is still more fun than no motorcycle. Buy it back and customize that chrome with a rattle-can.

Stay in the game.

Jesus, the vest is the Icon chest protector, the KA-Bar is my utility knife that came in handy when I broke down up in New Hampshire, the sword on my back was from transporting it to class for performance piece and the boots and pants are police issue (I go to a criminal justice college and do lab work as a Forensic Scientist). A cross of Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell if you will.

Now back to our regular programming.

Hmmmmmm

Thank you for clearing that up

So recap

You are carrying a "crocodile dundee size Knife", a full length sword and dressed in combat clothing, and you are a member of some criminal justice university, sitting on a motorcycle in daylight in a public street.

geezuz christ dood, you would be arrested on sight here, your weapons confiscated, your police issues combat gear taken away, and your enrollment for uni would be canceled, you would then be charged with numerous offences all of which will carry prison time and a monetary penalty, plus you would never qualify for any government position including security, armed forces or emergency and you would never be allowed to be involved in work with children.

And thats no sh.it, it really amazes me sometimes just how far apart we are culturally.

And dont get me confused with me saying your bad or evil or wrong, Im merely just pointing out how different things are on some levels between our countries.

It must be tough to deal with police terrified of the public.

The knife is small, the casing is big for idiots who might cut themselves and remains in my tool kit at all times except for the picture. The sword is a training sword which I only carry to and from class, swords are legal and I never take it out of the casing in public. We are taught to never go around hurting people and to leave confrontations if possible. Disarming a gun from a criminal is very last resort but can be done which is why a gun is something I would never carry unless I become a full officer.

Granted, should there be an uprising...

Now I'm glad to hear you got the bike back Ofblong. Now any pics of the cosmetic damage? You made it sound like it wasn't too bad.
