Great, I'm tired of rain.

What we do need (and yes please PM me your phone, I think I already sent you mine), is a cheap hotel nearby. Know of any? Even a KOA with the little cabins would do.

I'm spending the day sewing my own bridesmaid dress....silver and purple.... At least I get to pick my own style.

Oh well, what we do for our friends.....

Jenn, sent you a PM about hotels...and silver and purple is not all that bad compared to the orange/hot pink color combo sweeping the wedding scene here (I do some lighting work for a wedding designer).

And pickles and olives have always been on my list of addictions. I seem to be gravitating towards things like apple juice and pears.

congrats. we have two little girls and they are amazing. they take a lot of time and energy but i wouldn't trade them for anything.

this might sound stupid coming from a guy... but i wouldn't pay attention to any horror stories. my wife went all natural with both of them and was a champ. unless something goes wrong (very small percentage) your body is designed to have children. women have been doing it for thousands of years and surprisingly we're all here... safe and sound.

again, congrats. the first one is so cool. all the things you don't know. all the planning... getting ready... painting. enjoy it. on word of advice for both you and your husband(?) is that both of you should get a notebook and start a little journal. just little thoughts. cool things that happen. trust me. there are so many things you think you'll remember that will be ancient history in no time. not only will it be cool for you, but one day your kid will have a glimpse into you that they would have never had. i have started this process way later than i wish i had. so many things i've already forgotten... and they're only 1.5 and 3.5 years old. oh, and the what to expect books are good to.

have fun.

Thanks for all the suggestions. My doc recommended the "What to Expect" book as well, so I'll go look for it after my afternoon nap :).

I just got done at the docs. Momma and baby are perfectly fine. Baby has a great heartbeat, and loves to dance for the ultrasound. We pulled May 24th as a due date based on dates and the size of the baby, so we weren't too far off based on the guesstimate I originally used.

So good that you won't be in the last months during the SC heat....that would just be miserable. Good timing!

When people start telling you their horror stories, just tell them you don't want to hear the stories.

You will have enough to think about, without worrying about the what ifs?

Enjoy the experience. The sickness will eventually go away.

Congratulations. :D

Yes I think I'm the only one with a camera...oh it was awful, but the outfit is done. I hate setting zippers.

Now I'm looking forward to meeting SCGirl near her home in SC!

Jenn(SCgirl) in Charleston and I met up for some seafood the day after the wedding. We had a lot of fun talking about bikes and babies.
