Heat wave here today. 42 deg f and the roads clear and almost dry... I took time for a ride around the block, 3 whole miles. It was great. :D

I sat around a lot today. Played with some photos (I can't get this HDR stuff down they all come out looking like there is no color at all.) I read a good bit. (The Lathe of Heaven) I watched a show about the attempts to kill Hitler. basically just vegged out all day and now I feel like a zombie from lack of exercise.

I went for a walk, bought food to cook for the picket crew and then will be taking some hot food to them.

We'll be starting our 10th week tomorrow. Sigh....

It's a good thing I had some $$ saved.

If it weren't icy in the mornings, it would be fantastic to go for a ride. Sunshine, blue skies. I'm sure the rains and winds and slush will come soon enough and then they probably won't stop for about 45 days.

We had a one-day respite from winter. 20 inches of snow last weekend and freezing temps all week up to Christmas night meant no riding. I haven't ridden to work since Dec. 8 due to ice. But 36 hours of warm rain washed away all the snow, ice, and salt. Highs almost to 50 (Fahrenheit) today. Got all three bikes out, lubed & adjusted chains, checked tires, and rode, rode, rode. Brother, that felt great! :D

Tomorrow- snow in the forecast again.

because places like Oklahoma get snow like 3 times all year so why get a snowblower for the chance of snow 3 times a year. cheaper and easier to just shovel it. People like me with a 50 ft driveway dont really need a snow blower but do cause Ihave to use it like 30 times a year.

Well I polishedoff a couple of beers and Braaied some meat and Chicken until the wee hours off the morning, now I am off for another Braai at my daughters place and then tonight it will be just chilling outside, listening to nature and the water fountains. A typical weekend in South Africa. Tomorrow I will take the bike out for a ride as I am having withdrawel syptoms from not riding her everyday.

Everybody have a great weekend
