Oh, I hate those things. They are highly effective, but when I'm on the road with my motorcycle, my fingers tend to get a little dirty...

That's why I always use the reusable silicone plugs.

I once saw somebody (a non-biker) with a stereo headset that piped music in through an earplug piece. I would love to try one of those on the bike to see how they work... Not that I listen to any music most of the times on my bike, but when I'm travelling the long, straight prairie highways, I need music to keep me awake.

I just got a full face helmet. Can't hear a thing. My mirrors suck so cars are up on me and I can't hear them. A little disconcerting at times. I'm turning my head like an owl.

With my 3/4 open face I could hear better. Better than no helmet at all.

So I must have a crappy helmet? I bought a cheap one.
The only time I feel any real catharsis is on a MOTORCYCLE!
