In the market for a new bike, suggestions?

hey im looking for a new bike, i would like a cruiser/chopper, im not into crotch rockets. What im really looking for in my bike is that "wide tire" look, the one you see with most choppers. Now my question is should i buy something like a Harley and then try and find a wide tire kit for it, or should i just buy a Harley rocker c, or should i buy a kit bike and put it together myself. In the end I want the best bang for my buck, and i would love to spend as little as possible but am willing to spend as much as it takes to get the look i want

Well my suggestion is don't buy a bike based primarily on looks. Then again, I like to ride so for me a bike isn't just for getting 10 miles to Starbucks or the bar, park have a coffee or beer, and ride 10 miles back.

However, if you're interested in looks, IMO, stay away from the Rocker. I used to think the Rocker was a good looking bike, but back then I had only seen one in person, and was comparing it to photos of the Yamaha Raider. Having seen many more examples of them in person since then I'd say the Rocker is not as good looking as my first impression. As far as the "factory choppers" go, I'd say the Honda Fury, Yamaha Raider, and Victory Jackpot (which actually has a wider rear tire than the Rocker) are all better looking bikes than the Rocker.

Here is a comparison of the Raider, Jackpot and Rocker from back in 2007 (prior to the release of the Fury):

The Victory Jackpot is an upgraded Victory Vegas with a wide tire in the rear. So it might be worth researching whether you can easily modify a Vegas or Vegas 8 ball to accept a wider tire also, if you insist on having wide rear tire.

I'd say check out the Raider (beautiful bike in person) or the Honda Fury if you want that chopper look from the factory.

Have you tried this place?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Not sure where to find a good chopper kit. Typically kit built and custom choppers look great but ride like utter crap (hardtails, floppy frames and insane rake angles do not make for good riding bikes).

Big Dogs are about the most ridable of the custom choppers.

Factory choppers like the Honda Fury, Yamaha Raider and several Victory models ride a lot better.

You could give Big Bear Choppers a try.
