Well I did it. New to me bike 2008 Versys

#1 Unread post by JTRogue »

I had been looking, debating and finally found my new bike. I picked up a 2008 Kawasaki Versys as my daily use machine. It had less than 6K on it, rear side luggage, gel grips, throttle lock, lager windscreen, gell seat and the lowering kit all verified done at a Kawasaki dealer. It was a long trip to get over 550 miles from me and did it in less than 36 hrs and pulled it on a trailer, well worth the trip. I knew I wanted one of these the momemnt I sat on it and now it is all mine, I love it, it wass all I hoped for. Time to relagate the Honda to weekend and parade duty (lol) and to get the gf to use the Burgman now!

Sweet. Sometime I've got to ride a Versys and see what everyone is on about. For now, though I'm good with my FZ6 - definitely want to see pics of your ride, though.

Grats! :happybikeday:

BTW how tall is the Versys? I have a 32" inseam, but the bike looks as if that might be insufficient for backing it up and stuff... I'm too lazy too look it up

The Versys is a really nice bike! Great engine in it, wonderful handling, and very comfortable seating position! Great buy!

Congrats on the new sled!   That was Motorcyclist's Bike of the Year for 2008 so you're in good company. Seat height is listed at 33.1, and after sitting on one at the dealer I believe it. It was too tall for my 30" inseam, 32" would probably have better luck. Let's see some pics brother!!
