Re: what have you done to your bike today?
The front cowl on my GPz900R is sagging due to a break in the bolt holes on the neck portion of the support rod. It's still being held up by the main bolts on the bike frame itself but I'm not sure how stable it is even with added supports. I can have someone weld a new square with a bolt hole to the neck but finding one who can do it for a low cost is hard and replacing that piece by OEM means replacing the whole frame which cannot be done for a 1984 bike.
It pains me to say that I guess I will have to turn it into a street fighter by buying an after market cowl with headlights, relocate the turn signals and discarding the lower fairing. This will make it look like a cross between a Honda Hornet and Kawasaki ZRX or maybe a Triumph Triple if I go with the double round headlights with cowl.

I would like to find a universal cowl like the first pic. No matter what I do the OE cowl is just gonna sag. Just gotta make sure whatever I buy will have decent wind protection.

Put some Motosliders on the SV. Changed the oil and coolant. Then proceeded to the street to show some cagers how we get down when the light goes green. Rode home, cracked open a cold one. Life is good.

I went riding on my lil Kawasaki this morning, and I rode the Buell to work.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

It's 8 am so I haven't done anything today... but yesterday I went for a spin with Mike and then I lubed the chain.
