Rookie Restoration - Stupid question number 1..of many

#1 Unread post by hakx »

Changing handgrips...

Can I just replace the handgrips on a 1986 Ninja by just replacing the worn grip over the perfectly functional throttle slide?

Thanks,

Yes
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Yup, either cut or blow them off with compressed air, then use grip glue (or go cheap and use aquanet hairspray) and slide the new grips on! Works as a lube then when it dries it works as a glue, best of both worlds!
