helmet gag reflex
My helmet is very uncomfortable when I tighten the chinstrap. I don't have it super tight, but it feels like it's going to make me barf. I rode my bike for the first time yesterday and it was awesome except for the chinstrap thing. It was kind of distracting and that's not good. When I tried the helmet on at the shop I was mainly concentrating on how it fit on my head and I didn't even mess with the chinstrap - so stupid me for not doing that. Anybody else have that problem? What did you do about it? Are all helmets pretty much the same as far as the chinstrap?

The chin strap on my helmet used to irritate me slightly but I found wearing a neck tube or something similar helped immensely. Any peice of cloth between you and the chin strap might make it more comfortable.
It's strange that it'd make you feel sick though - not sure why that would be.

What kind of helmet is it? Is it a 1/2, 3/4 or full?
A squid I knew complained that his 1/2 helmet bugged him, so I told him to put it on the TOP of his head, not to let it ride back over the crown as he was doing. Changed the whole position of the strap and he no longer had an issue with the strap, but he then complained that it no longer looked cool....
