Well, I did hit a rabbit about a month ago on the way to the cottage, he decided that running safely into the bush wasnt as good an idea as going under my truck (i know its not motorcycle releated, but bear with me till they are road worthy) I happened to onloy catch his back legs though, so I stopped to see if it was still alive, it was... I had to twist his head a bit to put him out of his mysery. I did try to salvage him for dinner, but the poor thing was a tad tenderized. Oh well.

When it comes to varmints, The rule of thumb is this...
If you can eat it in one sitting, run over it...
If not..
Evasive maneuvers are probably needed.

we get alot of bugs around here especially along the creeks and stuff where i ride...a bandanna outlaw style really helps keeping bugs out of your teeth...neck...and out of your collar...
thats a sweet bike.

My whole family are avid riders. My grandfather owns a very nice rebuilt custom goldwing. All the trimmings. He was crusing along a back forrest preserve type road in Wisconsin and a deer came ot of nowhere. He was pretty banged up, but he now has antlers attached to his Harley Fat Boy.

Was riding with the shield up on my full face and had a bee fly right in the side of the opening. Course my first instinct was to slap the side of the helmet but all I did was succeed in agitating the bee more than he already was. Stung a few times before I could pull over and get the helmet off...young Cruiser wrote:I know about full face helmets but are there any full neck helmets?

hitting animals while on bike
I have hit rabbits birds and a skunck;however, the one animal of that size that I do not want to hit is the armadillo. I am afraid that it will cause the bike to slide around him instead of just rolling over it. I do a lot of nite riding I have upgraded my bright light to 80 watts and added a 55 watt helper that burns with it. I am venerable when my dim light is on. It is only 55 watts and burns by its self.
