You boys know why Engineers wear those big rings on their fingers?

It's a depth gauge so they don't poke the brain while picking their noses.

Wow! This thread was dormant for six years and then came back to life!

I'm just the same old, same old: research professor and author at a think tank dealing with military strategy and national security policy.

Good: having an international reputation, effecting national policy.

Bad: dealing with government bureaucracy.
planet Earth is blue
and there's nothing I can do

Hyperr, my ex did the social science... ya WIMP! lol
And RockBottom, we're gonna have to talk sometime, I'd love to pick your brain and figure out the reasoning behind some of our national policies!

I gravitated to Social Sciences by default as I realized I am quite intrigued by History, Politics, and human nature in general. Never really thought I would be...I thought I was more of an engineering type myself. I have a degree in Business. I would like to do a MBA after I get my degree in Social Sciences. :)

Besides Engineering is just too tough of a major to tackle while working fulltime.

I teach. How boring of me.

Worst thing? Nothing much, love my work.
Best thing? The kids and long vacations.
