Thanks for taking a bad simpsons quote and beating the crap out of it. Then flogging the dead horse, and finally molesting the corpse.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

There are at least 2-million armed rednecks in Kentucky that can hold their own against the UK...so I'm not terribly worried.

And, incidentally, my gun holds five rounds.

just curious, why go with a small revolver for home protection? isnt that gun best suited for concealed carry. if its ment for home security next to the bed most of the time id rather something bigger with more shots personally. although im planning on a shotgun here soon, or assault rifle for securing the ole home ;)

That small revolver is likely a .357, and is formiddable when loaded with 158 grain Hydra-Shok ammo. The logic behind keeping the bedside pistol a simple one is that when you wake up quickly it is too easy for some people, including me, to stumble around or mis-handle a more complicated weapon, such as a Glock, increasing the liklihood of the homeowner accidentally discharging his own weapon, becoming the victim of his own clumsiness.

ROFLMAO

And yes- a shotgun loaded with 00 buck is probably the best home defense gun there is.

9 32 caliber pellets per round pretty much guarantees a hit and if you do miss the rounds won't go through the wall and kill 14 of your neighbors.

I have a dog that lets us know if anyone comes up on either porch after dark, really good locks, a cell phone by the bed and I'm less than a quarter mile from the precinct headquarters. Short of an armed horde with a battering ram I should be in good shape. Unless my wife gets mad and has a gun I don't know about...

my friends are under the impression that in the state of pa you can carry concealed anywhere but state and federal buildings...ie schools and courts and parks...

but i dont know.

and yeah id get a shotgun for home protection...but for now my fully automatic bb guns have done that job. my brother snuck in one night to borrow xbox games...i forgot i had loaned him the key...so i went downstairs with my faux mac 10...reconized his silhoette and unloaded on him...i must have hit him with 200 bbs...it was hilarious.
thats a sweet bike.
