Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at this) my work is my life as I work from home, thus I do not have a clear seperation of work and home. Right now, I'm working at 10:15pm and started working at 7am. As I don't commute I don't get stuck in traffic, but that also means I don't get out to ride as much as I really want to either (as I would be commuting to and from work). The good part is I can stumble down the stairs and start working or relax and watch TV when I have time. :D

I have also worked from home in the past & know that it is not always the easy option.

It can be difficult to switch off from either work or domestic repsonsibilities & I had a constant feeling of guilt that one or other was losing out.

I did have young chikdren at the time so would probably be easier now.

I did have a choice a few years ago & opted fot being a wage slave again as it was easier toi budget.
Also whilst I have to report for duty at times that might not suit me, when I leave I am OFF duty except in case of major incident)!

So hats off to those who manage to efficiently work from home!

I would love to be called away for work, any time, any day as it gives me a sense of purpose. Being at home it hits me that I have no life.

Employers love me though, I am very flexible when out of school and in school I would fill up my schedule with any science lab/ Forensics Lab I can take as they are several hours long keeping me busy. Though I did have a major burn out from only getting 3 hours of sleep on a good day.

Unfortunately it is Monday tomorrow :( ay & I am on my first day shift for 3 weeks!

Luckily I don't start until 12MD so I can ease in gently. The real test is going to be Tuesday morning when I will have to get up at 6.15 am!!

Hi I did manage to get up for work but mainly because I hardly slept anyway! Am a bit snotty!
Have Wed off so next test Thurs.

Thanks for asking! :D

Friday morning should be fun if it's not raining ~ we have a mini conference for work offsite where we have been told there is no available parking. Everyone is expected to walk there & back which will take most of lunchbreak!

I popped down today to check it out & was told "no problem" to park my bike!

So   to the car drivers!

Have just got home from a nightshift, but it's such a lovely morning :sunshine:it seems a shame to go to bed.

Have been watching the news about all the ridiculous rioting across numerous English cities. Three men died last night after apparently being run over whilst trying to protect their community.

I can't help but feel for my many health service colleagues who will have been on major incident status for the past few nights.

Thank goodness I live in sleepy Dorset! :D

So have included a pretty flower from the garden to cheer us all up
