Forgot to put down the kickstand?

#1 Unread post by spydercanopus »

You expect to set the bike on the kickstand, then opps!! You forgot to put it down! Did it fall over? Any damage? Or are you too experienced to remember ever forgetting the kickstand?

I've done it once or twice. Never resulted in a drop though fortunately.

I've busted an indicator when I didn't put down the kickstand. I've only forgotten once or twice though.

I forget to retract the stand more often. Fortunately, the bike won't start if the kickstand's down and the bike isn't in neutral.

All most forgot to do it once, but as I was laying it over to the kickstand and it seemed to be getting real heavy, I realized the stand was not down.

Been there done that. Caught the bike as it was getting HEAVY. Didn't actually drop it that time,
but boy was I embarrassed.
