If a board administrator can't have final say (especially when the board is named after said operator), where would we be? Lol

To be fair to H-D, douchery isn't exclusive to Harleyfolk. Every brand has it's share of snobs who think _______ is not a _______. The Triumph thing was mentioned. Some Beemerfolk think Der Korp's non boxer-twin bikes aren't real BMWs. I'll bet some Ducatisti don't think the Multistradas (strade? stradae?) and Diavels aren't real Ducatis.

So V-Rods are not Harley's in the eyes of some of the "faithful"*? I liked V-Rods before but the opportunity to "pee" off some of the T-shirt wearing wannabees just makes them that much more appealing. :righton:

* By calling the "faithful" a bunch of T-shirt wearing wannabees I meant just that - a lot of the ones who spew the "not a real Harley line" have not a lot of experience in motorcycling in general. The real motorcycle riders who ride Harleys usually have an appreciation for all things motorcycle - and very little of the wannabe 'tude that we have all experienced at one time or another.

This is very true. It's usually a guy who has only been riding for a few years.
