I too am wimp...100+ here south of Boston, and I left the toaster-oven in the garage in favor of my air conditioned truck.

Well I guess we hit 100+ as I just checked it and at 5:30PM it is still 101.

And in 6 to 8 weeks time, you all will be complaining about how it is too cold to ride.
Always ask why.

The 900SS, an air cooled bike that radiates tremendous amount of engine heat onto the rider :flame:

To make a confession, I have a cake commute. :kicking: About 9 miles and it is all reverse traffic and a total breeze with no traffic on my side whatsoever (the other side is bumper to bumper  ). I usually always take the long way home as there are some great backroads I can take in lieu of the parkway. In fact, I was going to take the long way home, then stop at the gym but it was so hot, I just sped on home directly.

Amen to that, bro!

Temp has now fallen to a frigid 88 degrees here in South Jersey - there was a thunderstorm that helped nudge it down a bit. Still goshawful humid though. :(

ceemes wrote:Summer in Vancouver usually start around the end of April, beginning of May and can last well into the end of September or the middle of October on a good year. This year, we went from winter, hard a slight taste of spring, to a couple of days of summer, straight back into Autumn. Yesterday I stopped off at the bike shop that I use to service my Connie and the girl that usually works on it wasn't there. Talked with the shop owner and he said that coz of the poor weather this year, the riding season was a bust and not many people were out so he couldn't bring her on this year. Its so bad, that they are closing the shop for a couple of weeks to go visit Calgary.
Just set up camp in Osoyoos, cookin' here... :o)

They said it hit 108 (42.2C) at Newark Airport in New Jersey on Friday. That's really hot for the Northeast US!
