Hi, I'm a new here and live in Scotland, UK.. Thought I'd introduce myself by posting a couple of videos about riding a motorcycle
in the Scottish Highlands. Amazing scenery and twisty, challenging roads (hold on!!) - great biking country!
Both soundtracks are my own. I play bagpipes in a trash/metal celtic rock band and it makes for awesome riding music..
Plenty castles, mountains, ancient history, unforgettable views and amazing roads..
More detailed info accompanies each vid.....
ENJOY!!!

Hey there Jim
Good to have another Scot aboard
Haven't ridden my Triumph up in Scotland yet, but maybe next year. I too can think of some great routes. Have you been up the Bealach nam Bo to Applecross?
Where are you based?
Cheers

Hi Mog..
Yep the Bealach Nam Ba features on the 'Alba Gu Brath' vid......It's the single tracker going up hill about 1/3 way in and again at the end.....
Amazing road.....If you're heading up in summer try and tackle it reasonably early (am) to avoid the tourist cars...
I have two base camps - Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye...

Re: Great rides in the Scottish Highlands!
Tried to watch videos but my reception was hiccuping. Will try again as I haven't seen the Bealach for about 40yrs!!
We went up it (highest pass in UK) in an old Austin Cambridge, fully laden with camping kit. I remember hitting fog then Dad realised it was low cloud! Us 3 kids had to get out a couple of times & luggage from boot put into pasasenger seats as there was not enough ground clearance to get round the hairpins!
My bike is the '09 1050 15th anniversary SE.
I grew up in Edinburgh & love the Isle of Skye.
Cheers

Re: Great rides in the Scottish Highlands!
Great story!
Hope you manage to catch the vid...Lots of clips of the Bealach..
I wonder if you know anyone in Edinburgh I know? Hang out with any bikers when you were growing up?
Like everywhere the city has changed massively, but many of the 'old team' (pardo the pun, I'm one of them now) remain!..
