YEAR: 2006
MAKE: Yamaha
MODEL: FJR1300
Average US MPG: 44.0 (42.8 city, 46.9 hwy)
Average L/100km: 5.33 L/100km
Source (Manufacturer/Magazine/Personal): Personal (avg over 15k miles)

YEAR: 2004
MAKE: Yamaha
MODEL: FJR1300
Average US MPG: 42.4 (41.6 city, 43.4 hwy)
Average L/100km: 5.41 L/100km
Source (Manufacturer/Magazine/Personal): Personal (avg over 11k miles)

I keep a spreadsheet that has separation for what I consider city and hwy tanks. Generally, hwy if over 1/2 of tank on a trip, but generally pretty clear break. The overall avg is not the avg of the two, but the average of the fuel consumption I have gotten on the bike with whatever ratio split I ended up with between hwy and city riding.

YEAR: 2005
MAKE: Kawasaki
MODEL: Z750S
Average MPG: 41
Average L/100km: N/A
Fuel Capacity: 5 Gallons
Engine Size: 750cc
Source: Personal

Keep in mind this is in the city and I'm fairly hard on the throttle (my Pilot Power 2CT is down to the wear bar after 4500 miles).
On the highway cruising from 75-95 I typically get 45 MPG.
Have owned - 2001 Suzuki Volusia
Current bike - 2005 Kawasaki Z750S
MMI Graduation date January 9th, 2009. Factory Certifications in Suzuki and Yamaha

How far behind are you on this stuff? Just noticing that there's still no entry in the mpg guide for 2006 FJR1300. This entry was made back in ?May? I think. Not complaining, just wondering. Thanks!

Hi SlowDave,

I update the guide every year, it's only been about a year months since the last major update (which took 5 solid weeks to do). I know you are not complaining at all, but please remember that TMW outside of the forums is run (updated and created) by just me and I do my best to get to it all as often as I can (thus I have this little "Add your data to the TMW Motorcycle Fuel Guide" thread for the latest information while you wait. :D

With saddle bags and a large windshield. MPG improves without these (lower highway speeds, perhaps?)
