Just got my first bike

#1 Unread post by BrymanFl »

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FINALLY HAVE A BIKE. I got a 05 V Star Classic 1100 with the Silverado pkg. Red and Black in color. I have put 150 miles on it in 2 days. Called in sick yesterday so I could ride all day.
So far I love this bike. It handles awsome and I love the low seat height. However I need to put some different pipes on it. Does anyone have any tips or advice about this bike?

I would suggest you ride it a while before you start modifying the engine or exhaust.

But that is just me. Others do differently.

My bike's engine and exhaust are bone stock, and will probably stay that was for the duration of the 2 year warranty. I'll mod it only when I feel the need.

Shaun sent his pipes to the Dragstar Doctor

They *ahem* adjusted his pipes...

Shauns primarily did it because it gives a better tone of engine noise, but was most pleased with the extra 5bhp it develops.

There should be engineering firms that can do this near you and the beauty of this modification is that all you need to do is remove the Pipes and bolt them back on afterwards.
