found out yesterday icbc has approved all the extra work, and that it's not close enough to write it off (about 1800-2k away from that apparently) so my options are:dr_bar wrote:Good luck with ICBC... 'Nuff said...
1. wait for 3-4 more weeks for the bike to be fixed, pay the 500.00 deductible and keep the same bike although fully repaired
2. check and see today what kind of an offer burnaby kawasaki can help me with to get out of that bike and into a new one
option 2 is not really something I'm considering seriously. That may change if they can keep the costs close, but I'm expecting I'd lose a couple thousand to do that and being that I love my ninja 650 I'm having a hard time with the idea of letting it go. That being said, I'm worried that something else may be damaged and hasn't been noticed, or may have been weakened and make it prone to breaking later when I will have to pay for it.
will see what option 2 looks like today otherwise I'll continue to be bike-less for another 3-4 weeks. It sucks badly in summer. Has been 3 weeks already.
